In response to the Mangani festival taking place in Karaikal, the people of Puducherry too took part in the celebrations to venerate Karaikal Ammaiyar, the only woman among the 63 Nayanmars.
The 21st year celebrations took place at the Vedapureeswarar temple here on Today 02.07.23
A chariot decorated with mangoes was taken in a procession around the temple and mangoes and prasadam were distributed to all devotees
