Thousands of devotees thronged Veerampattinam on Aadi (Tamil Month) 5th Friday to offer prayers to the presiding deity of Sri Sengazhuneer Amman Temple and participate in the annual car festival.
Lieutenant Governor Tamilisai Soundararajani, Chief Minister N. Rangaswamy, Ministers, and MLAs joined the devotees in pulling the temple car. The car went around the streets of Veerampattinam before reaching the temple.
